Master Mason Regalia

The Master Mason wears his apron as a Fellowcraft in practice, but is entitled to taught to wear his apron with the corner turned up. This is because operative master masons, or overseers, wore their apron this way in order to show that they mastered the science of masonry and did not need as much protections, additionally it again distinguished them from the rest of the craft and showed the craft they were someone to ask for advise and guidence when learning the trade.
